Fountain Valley students attend the Vista View Middle School, in the Ocean View School District. The Mile Square Regional Park is a 640 acre park which contains two lakes, three 18-hole golf courses, several playing fields, archery range, picnicking areas, and an urban nature area. The urban nature area is 20 acres of California native plants. There is a 55 acre recreation center with tennis courts, racquetball courts and full size basket ball court. The recreation center is home to the Kingston Boys and Girls Club, community center and senior center. In addition to the Mile Square Regional Park, there are 20 more parks scattered throughout the city and a host of recreational programs provided by the community center.
